David Harrison is one of the states most respected and likeable trainers with a career spanning over 40 years. The jockey turned trainer at Harrison Racing has finished prominently in Perth’s top 10 leading Metropolitan Trainers Premiership over the past three decades. David initially learnt his craft from legendary horsemen such as Bart Cummings, Tommy Smith and Colin Hayes before turning his hand to training in own right.

Since 1983, David has trained winners at the elite level including Blevvo to win the 2002 Fruit n Veg Stakes (now Kingston Town Classic) at Group 1 level, and other class gallopers such as Century Blazer, McFlirt, Waratah’s Secret and current 3yo Gemma’s Son. Operating out of a private property, the training establishment known as ‘Bridge Patrol Lodge’ is the name of David’s first ever winner as a trainer.
